If it were possible to marry a food, I would marry bacon. Not Kevin Bacon, Bacon Bacon. I would be Mrs. Bacon (I would occasionally cheat on him with ham, but in general, it would be a happy union.) It is 8:05 pm and I am about to have a bacon & egg feast sans eggs.
The reason for the massive scaling back of the Republic convention is explained here and is apparently to focus on the impending storm Gustav. What they really mean is that they know it’s a losing battle so they are conserving their funds in order to ensure that once they officially lose the presidential bid, they will still have enough left over cash to buy bibles, anti-gay & anti-abortion literature to distribute through out the US school system.
So clever of them to plan ahead, isn’t it?
Here it is folks, the top ten reasons that I hate Nancy Grace. Have you seen her circus show? If you have then you know exactly why I want to punch her. It will be difficult to keep it to just Ten reasons, but I will try. My friend Stanny-stan-stan once voted me for a superlative on facebook and it is a classic (and I phrase that I utter often.)
Kim-most likely to punch Nancy Grace in the throat.
Ok. So here we go. Why I hate Nancy Grace; why she gives me a rash, why I cringe when I hear her name, and the almost uncontrollable fury I feel when people take her words as some sort of divine prophecy.
#10-Her voice. Just her voice her alone makes me want to strangle the life outta her.
#9-The way she belittles people in order to make a point that is often irrelevant.
#8-Her constant reminders to her audience that she is far more intelligent than she actually is.
#7-That shitty supercilious attitude to anyone who dares to disagree with her
#6-Her regular habit of overriding fact with a loud insulting voice. The more obvious the guests facts are, or the more proof supplied, the louder and more obnoxious Nancy gets.
#5-Her lack of integrity & sincerity.
#4-Regardless of the situation or what she is saying out loud, every conversation that she has is actually about her….how sincere, how caring, how above the “dirty masses” she is. She truly thinks that she is the world’s gift of incorruptible journalism. (I just puked a little in my mouth there. Sorry.)
#3-Go to her web site (sorry- refuse to link to it) Think “Jerry Springer” as I list a few of her “headlines”
Microwave baby retrial shifts focus to boys.
Half ton woman too big to kill tot.
Lying Pastor had porn fetish, not cancer.
Killer says he’s too fat to execute.
Just being on her website gives me a huge fucking pain behind my left eye.
#2-Located beside that microwave baby headline is both the ‘Nancy Grace baby blog” & “Nancy’s twins photography” (that alone gets my hand twitching just a little bit.) It is an oft repeated display of her lack of professionalism, lack of class & glaring lack of common sense.) Shit, sorry- got ahead of myself…..
#1-Lack of professionalism, lack of class & glaring lack of common sense.
Please feel free to add to my list as there are so many more of her “attributes” that I haven’t yet touched on.
Barack has just taken the stage & the question is not whether he will win. That I think is a given. The real question is….. if that nation stands up-as I think it will-to back this man and let him fulfill his first term and put him in a position to lead for another…… the real question is, will he be assassinated before any real change has a chance to take hold?
I unfortunately believe this to be the case. “They” simply cannot afford to let a real leader take the reins. If you think I’m an extremist…. do a little research. Start here and read about Carter & Kennedy and then move forward and look into it for yourself.
It is a sad truth, and even sans assassination, the old boys club will hinder his brand of change at every turn because they simply cannot afford to let him do what he, and many others, believe he can.
From a Canadian perspective, I would LOVE to be wrong. I however fear deeply that I am not.
45 years to the day of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech- Barack Obama is gearing up to take the stage in Denver in a couple of hours to accept the Presidential nomination . The significance has not been lost on “Team Obama” or by any news stations that is currently jockeying for position front & center.
Flash bulb, flash bulb…..click click click.
These be interesting times friends. Very interesting times.
Too bad that the pile of shit left behind by the fucktard Bush will probably bury him and give the USA “time for change” a 4 year expiration date, or worse.
I don’t have children so the fervor of back to school shouldn’t really affect me- and yet it does. Not in the crazy shopping mall frenzy way that it hits parents and students, but I feel something nonetheless. It isn’t a dread or an excitement……it’s a kind of melancholy. Spring is the season of growth & rebirth. A beginning- where as Fall feels like an ending of sorts. It’s the seasonal equivalent to “wrapping up the year, all down hill from this point.”
I like the warm days & crisp nights, sweaters & fuzzy socks, cold noses & soup under a blanket. Fall is my favorite season by far. I love it. Yet every time it comes around, I can’t help but feel a little sad.
Maybe it’s just me but didn’t Hilary look like she was biting the inside of her cheek to keep from tearing out her own eyeballs during her speech backing Obama last night @ the Democratic convention?
Some days just for the hell of it, I’ll eat all of my meals with chopsticks. Dinner & lunch are usually not too much of a problem, but cereal………..that’ll piss you off.
I also always drink out of both the juice jug & the milk carton and never close the bathroom door when I pee.
