One freaking day from seeing her grandson become the President of the United States of America, Madelyn Dunham has passed away peacefully. It is the ultimate Cinderella story. Poor black man rises above it all and (a fair assumption on my part) becomes the President while being championed by a loving Grandmother. It would have been incredible for her to have seen that day arrive, though I’m sure in her heart, he was already the President of many, many things.
