The Governor General was right to convey Harper the right to prorogue Parliament, given the mood of the nation. The gang of three, anti-democratic traitors that they are, will have to wait until January to bring down the government, that is if they still have the courage. Let’s wait and see what the budget holds for all of us first.

The world-wide recession has not quite hit Canada just yet, although there are some symptoms in the manufacturing industry.

Canada has the best regulated banking system in the world, and the economy is still fairly strong. However, the sort of wrekless socilaist spending spree that the gang of three are proposing does not leave me very reasurred that THEIR plan will work either.

I think it’s terribly irresponsible of the GG to prorogue and suspend parliament. A freshly elected minority government that can’t hold confidence should not be allowed to just press the pause button just before facing a non-confidence vote it can’t win.

The conservatives are in complete denial of the economic storm facing Canada, and the world. The fact that we may have the strongest banking system in the world means absolutely nothing when the global banking system is broken. Our economy may seem fairly strong still, at the moment, compared to the US and the UK, but the shit is coming this way. No avoiding it.

All Harper is doing is tucking his tail & running. He cannot win the confidence vote so he’s pulling a 5 year old tantrum & basically “taking his ball & going home!”
I personally think that they’re ALL idiots.

I read a comment on the CBC website where someone made the same reference to “taking his ball and going home”. Commenter added this, “except it’s our damn ball!”
